Music is an important part of worship. The minds of small children, young people, and adults are influenced heavily by the music they listen to and participate in. Therefore, through teaching and performance, the Music Department actually battles against the often overwhelming tide of music that corrupts the mind and spirit. It seeks to uplift majestic music that helps to shape every person’s spiritual thought and actions in harmony with heaven.

The department also encourages families to provide musical education for their children as part of their character development. In addition, it has been proven that music orders and strengthens the mind for the acquisition of all other areas of learning. Heavenly education, including music, is a blessing here on earth and a preparation for the future eternal life that is quickly approaching.
